Refunds
Payments are final, unless the payment was wrong
An invoice covers work already carried out, or money paid onward on your behalf. Settling one is not reversible. A payment that should never have been taken is a different matter, and we correct it.
A settled invoice is not refunded
The amount on an invoice is for work performed, or for a cost the firm pays on your behalf. Once it is settled, it is not returned.
A payment taken in error is returned
If what went wrong is the payment rather than the invoice, tell us. We return it to the account it came from, or hold it against your balance, whichever you prefer.
- Paid twice
- The same invoice settled more than once, whichever way the second payment was made.
- The wrong amount was taken
- The sum that moved does not match the invoice it was paid against.
- Our mistake
- The invoice was wrong, was issued to the wrong client, or had already been settled when it was sent.
Raising it
Contact the office with your invoice number and the date you paid, and keep the bank slip.
Where a refund is due it is made to the account the money came from. How long it takes to arrive is the bank's to decide, not ours.
